The business community joined students, graduates and staff to mark 21 years of the University of Wolverhampton at the University’s Telford Innovation Campus on Wednesday 8 May.
Keynote speakers were Brian Coffey, the Enterprise Territory Manager for Google in the UK and Ireland.
Also speaking were two successful companies based at the campuses’ e-Innovation Centre - Richard Howells, director of Bronze Software Labs and Shane Sutherland, Development Director of Pebble Learning.
The event saw the official opening of the new Business and Technology Centre at the campus, which provides space for grow-on businesses to develop within. The official opening was carried out by a Telford-based student who was also celebrating his 21st birthday on the day and the first business to move in, BlueHub Solutions who went on to say: “The university has been a great environment for us to flourish. We are heavily dependent on internet as a key business resource in delivering and maintaining existing systems for our clients, we have experienced no issue with internet outages since we have been tenants and the speed of the internet has actually helped us improve our service to our customers.
